What style of ballet do we teach?

We are truly an American dance school!

Our teachers have been trained in a variety of methods. Our classical ballet curriculum is strongly influenced by RAD (Royal Ballet) & Cecchetti methods. Conservatory students are further exposed to Bournonville, Balanchine, & Vaganova ideals as they progress in their training.

Preschool Ballet

Using imagination and play, preschoolers learn locomotor skills and basic ballet movement, positions, and vocabulary. Students will practice classroom manners and self-discipline, and grow in grace, body awareness, and physical control. Upbeat music, storytelling, and dance props such as ribbons and scarves add to the fun!

MOMMY & ME

$80/sem | 30 min class

Ages 2-3

Tuesdays 11:00 am

8 week Spring session (Jan 6-Feb 24) with an

accompanying adult.

Registration available December 1st.

* This is a non-performance class.

TINY TOT

$415/yr | 30 min class

Ages 3-4

Tuesdays 11:00 am

Wednesdays 4:15 pm

Class for students who turn 3 years old prior to September 1st.

Children must be potty trained to participate. Tiny Tots perform during Christmas Celebration week & the Spring Showcase.

PRIMARY

Ages 4-5

Tuesdays 11:30 am

Wednesdays 4:45 pm

Class for students who turn 4 years old prior to September 1st.

Children must be potty trained to participate. Primary students perform during Christmas Celebration week & the Spring Showcase.

REGISTRATION & COSTUME FEES

Rates listed include a $30 Registration Fee, charged upon registration. Preschool classes perform in their uniform tutu dress, and do not have a costume rental fee.

Preparatory Ballet

Classroom fundamentals change as students grow. Preparatory classes will challenge your student to learn the basics of classical ballet in an incremental way, grow in their abilities, and enjoy their own personal level of achievement. It is realistic to expect that students may remain in a level for more than one year to encourage strength and growth before promotion to the next level. Students perform during Christmas Celebration week & the Spring Showcase.

No experience necessary. This class takes new students through beginning ballet curriculum up to Ballet 4.

BALLET 5

Ballet 5 students take 2 classes per week to ensure continuous, steady growth.

Modern 1- Tuesdays 5:15

Ballet 6 students begin to explore modern dance for diversity in training. Modern is included in your curriculum and tuition.

Ballet 6A has 2 ballet classes per week + Modern 1 class per week

Conservatory Ballet

Conservatory dancers commit to a more demanding schedule of classes, diversity in their training through the addition of modern and contemporary dance styles, and more opportunities for performance including Christmas Celebration week, Spring Showcase, and outreach. Our goal for conservatory dancers is, upon completion of our program, to be prepared to enter the dance world in their local community, college programs, or the professional realm with integrity and excellence.

CONSERVATORY PROGRAM

4-Day program:

Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays

Occasional Saturday rehearsals for performance/outreach

4 ballet technique & 2 pointe classes per week.
1-2 modern/contemporary classes per week.
