Preschool Ballet
Using imagination and play, preschoolers learn locomotor skills and basic ballet movement, positions, and vocabulary. Students will practice classroom manners and self-discipline, and grow in grace, body awareness, and physical control. Upbeat music, storytelling, and dance props such as ribbons and scarves add to the fun!
8 week sessions, fall and spring, with an accompanying adult.
This dance class explores locomotor movement, listening skills,
musicality and creativity. It is a non-performance class.
Tiny Tot classes are for students who turn 3 years old prior to September 1st. Children must be potty trained to begin.
30 minute class.
Primary classes are for students who turn 4 years old prior to September 1st. Children must be potty trained to begin.

Preparatory Ballet
Classroom fundamentals change as students grow. Preparatory classes will challenge your student to learn the basics of classical ballet in an incremental way. ​Students can embrace the challenges of growing in their abilities and enjoy their own personal level of achievement. It is realistic to expect that students may remain in a level for more than one year to encourage strength and growth before promotion to the next level.

Conservatory Ballet
​Conservatory dancers commit to a more demanding schedule of classes, diversity in their training through the addition of modern and contemporary dance styles, and more opportunities for performance. Our goal for conservatory dancers is, upon completion of our program, to be prepared to enter the dance world in their local community, college programs, or the professional realm with integrity and excellence.

What style of ballet do we teach?

We are truly an American dance school! Our teachers have all been trained in a variety of methods. Our classical ballet curriculum is strongly influenced by RAD (Royal Ballet) & Cecchetti methods. Conservatory students are further exposed to Bournonville, Balanchine, & Vaganova ideals as they progress in their training.

​What is different at each ballet level?

Ballet classes for young students are designed to engage your child's imagination, promote development of fundamental motor movements, and instill a love of music and dance. Ballet classes for Tiny Tots (age 3) through Ballet 4 meet once per week.

Once students reach Ballet 5 and above, the curriculum expands to include two classes per week to ensure continuous, steady growth.

Ballet 6 students begin to explore modern dance for diversity in training.

Ballet 7 students focus on pre-pointe, a prerequisite for receiving their first pointe shoes.
